On Saturday 23rd November 2019, the GPF launched the establishment of The Gambia Police Force Female Network. The main objective of the network is to create a platform for female officers to network and collaborate within the Police in a bid to mainstream gender issues within the Police force.
It is also aimed at creating opportunities for female officers to network with other partners for the purpose of advancing women's issues.
The colorful inaugural ceremony which was held at the Police headquarters was graced by Her Excellency Vice President Dr. Isatou Touray. Other dignitaries included Retired Colonel Jane Ellen Pashall wife of the US Ambassador to the Gambia and Mrs. Mariama Adu Lette Sey who served as guest speakers.
The GPF management expresses gratitude and appreciation to all the invited guests and everyone who made the event a success.
